Voluntary Sustainability Standards
- 18 buyers supported to source sustainably produced tea, coffee and avocado
- 8,964 value chain actors implementing, VSSs in line with international market requirements
- 659 metric tons of certified tea, coffee and avocado produced by targeted farmers in Tanzania
- Governance structures of 26 farmer associations, cooperatives and tea factories strengthened
- Fifteen extension staff and local independent auditors trained to carry out voluntary sustainability standards (VSS) certification
- 44 cooperatives and tea factories supported to comply with VSS through premiums, better prices, good governance, improved productivity, product quality
