Upcoming Regional Steering Committee

The 6th Regional Steering Committee of the EU-EAC Market Access Upgrade Programme (MARKUP) is scheduled for 3 - 4 March 2022. The RSC is a platform for policy makers and the private sector from the Partner States to interact with Implementing Partners and the EU Delegation to jointly review progress and provide guidance on emerging issues in implementation of MARKUP. The upcoming meeting will take stock of the decisions made in the last meeting, including on ways to improve outreach to the private sector and to deepen engagement at national level. Challenges met in carrying out activities planned for the period starting July 2021 will also be discussed and recommendations made to address them to ensure that planned results are achieved over the remaining 6 months or so.
